The Board of Directors of the Architecture Foundation of BC is made up  of eight Directors, four of whom are required to be registered architects and the rest of whom can be individuals from the public at large. All Directors serve two-year terms, that are staggered to ensure no more than half of the Board ends a term any given year.

To promote the appreciation, awareness and understanding of architecture in British Columbia.

  • To increase public awareness and experience of architecture in everyday life, cultural activity, and the environment.
  • To increase the understanding and appreciation of architecture in youth.
  • To recognize sustainability, innovation, and excellence in BC architecture nationally and internationally.
  • To recognize BC as a global leader in architectural research and education.
