Launched in 2000, the AFBC Annual Golf Tournament is a favourite with architects, designers, engineers and clients alike. Professionals, their many clients and colleagues of the industry are able to get together, compete on the green and network in a fun and relaxed environment.
Held at the spectacular setting of the University Golf Club, the 2012 tournament will take place on Monday, August 27th, beginning with noon lunch in the UBC Club House, followed by a shot gun start at 1:00pm. Apart from the actual tournament, and the prize fundraising raffle, there will be a number of contests for additional prizes such as the most accurate drive, closest to the pin, most honest golfer, and as always, the hole-in-one for a fuel efficient car, and the draw for a television!
The Architecture Foundation of BC raises funds each year to support projects that increase awareness and appreciation of the built environment across BC. Your participation in the tournament makes a huge contribution to the AFBC accomplishing those goals, and ensuring that architecture and design remain firmly in the public’s eye.
