Call for Volunteers to join Awards Committee

The Architecture Foundation of British Columbia (AFBC) is pleased to announce that the Architectural Awards, a program which celebrates the very best in architecture from the BC architecture community, has moved to a new two-year awards cycle. In addition, the AFBC has taken over the Awards program.

The Volunteer Awards Committee will be formed in February, and the planning begins with a visioning session in March. The Awards Program officially launches in May with a call for awards submissions and ends with the Awards Ceremony, taking place on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021.

As a volunteer for the AFBC Awards Committee, you have the opportunity to get involved in some of the fun, inner-workings of the AFBC. You’ll meet with the Volunteer Committee and Event Contractor about once a month. The Volunteer Committee’s principal tasks will be to fundraise for the event, secure donations, and plan the event’s After Party.
