From Design Victoria:

We're excited to share the 2026 Island Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) projects! Explore the incredible submissions at designvictoria.ca/awards, and follow us on Instagram as we highlight each category over the coming days.

We've had a fantastic response this year, with so many outstanding projects—including plenty that were new discoveries for us. Rather than narrowing the field to a shortlist ahead of the ceremony, we've decided to celebrate the full breadth of submissions, giving every project an opportunity to be seen and appreciated.

The winners, along with up to three honourable mentions in each category, will be revealed at the IDEA ceremony on November 4.

I'll be sharing more soon about the creative collaborators helping bring the ceremony to life. In the meantime, tickets are limited, and early bird pricing ends October 18, so be sure to get your tickets.
