Architects in Schools connects practicing architects with classrooms to introduce students to design, creativity, and the build environment.
Architects in Schools is a hands-on educational origami that brings architects into classrooms to guide students through a structured design process. Through drawing, model-making and testing ideas, students learn how to design shapes, the spaces around them-n and how their own ideas can shape the future.
The program is designed to:
Build creativity and problem-solving skills
Introduce architecture as a potential career path
Foster confidence through making and presenting ideas
Support inclusive participation across all learning styles
A Structured Design Process
The program follows a clear, iterative design process used by architects:
Design & Draw
Students generate ideas and translate them into drawings
Model & Test
Students build physical models and test them (including gravity-based challenges)
Reflect & Adapt
Students evaluate how their designs perform and refine their ideas
Build & Share
Students develop final designs and present them to peers
